Description
Looking to make a statement on your dining table or walls, how about our Kintsugi Plate #1 by Mineheart! Inspired by the traditional Japanese art of Kintsugi, the art of repairing broken ceramics with gold. Kintsugi Plate #1 is a unique plate split in half with elaborate mismatched chinoiserie pattern either side and fused together to make a modern take on a antique plate.
Designed by Young & Battaglia, inspired by fashionable hand-painted blue and white ceramics typically imported from China, our cracked-effect plates are sure to make a statement at the dining table or place on the wall for all to admire.
Made from fine bone china, these eye-catching plates are available in three stylish designs.
- Width: 26,6 cm;
- Height: 26,6 cm;
- Depth: 5cm.
Mineheart was launched in 2010 by designers Brendan Young and Vanessa Battaglia. Battaglia’s Italian background and love of art, combined with Young’s highly eccentric British wit has created a family of products with a playful quirky quality. Brendan and Vanessa are known for their clever re-working of materials and references to traditional imagery and the result is in an unexpected aesthetic that fuses past and present and blurs the line between art and design.
